Dr. Kurt Phillips, owner and veterinarian

(owned Woodland Animal Hospital since 2000)


Education
Butler University, 1992 (BS Degree in Biology)
Purdue University School of Veterinarian Medicine (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)

Professional and Personal
Dr. Phillips has a special interest in canine reproduction and English Bulldogs.   Woodland Animal Hospital is proud to be the official veterinarian of “Butler Blue II”, the Butler University mascot, and "Butler Blue III".

He is a married father of two.  His family includes two dogs—Rufa, a Viszla, and Faith, a Shih-Tzu—and two cats, Lizzie and Spraguey.

When he is not working with animals and running his business, Dr. Phillips loves to find live music venues and loves to entertain in his home.

 

Dr. Jennifer Glore, veterinarian,
(with Woodland Animal Hospital since 2005)

University of Pennsylvania, B.S. in Biology, 1999

Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, 2003 (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)

Professional and Personal
Dr. Glore takes a special interest in cat health and has a special interest in ophthalmology, dermatology and optimal pet health care.  She shares her life with her husband, Dr. Brent Gust (also a veterinarian).  Her animal friends include an Irish Setter named Ernie; Herb, a rabbit; her kitten, Penelope; and Moose, a former racetrack thoroughbred. 

In her free time, Dr. Glore likes to travel, play golf and ride in the Trader's Point Hunt Club.

 

 

 

Dr. Michelle Gray, Veterinarian

Dr. Gray has special interests in client education, preventative care, and ophthalmology. She recently moved to the Indy area with her husband, who is in medical school. Her pet family includes one cat, Nelly, who came to them as a stray.

Dr. Gray's hobbies include bike riding, reading, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Professional and Personal
Beth has been working with animals since high school.  She is married to Michael with whom she has one daughter, Ester.  Her family also includes two housecats and a six-foot Prairie King snake.

Other than working, Beth likes to read and follow her favorite band, Collective Soul.

Professional and Personal
Bev has been with our hospital for 15 years and is our hospital manager as well as our Lead Veterinary Technician.  She brings a very diversified background to our hospital that includes emergency, equine, dermatology and ophthalmology specialty medicine.  Her golden retriever, Emma Grace, comes to work with her daily and has passed her Pet Therapy Test.  She has joined a team visiting the soldiers at Camp Attebury as they deploy.

 

Krystal Rush, RVTJodi Hennings

Krystal recently moved out of the house and into an apartment of her own.  She loves music and funny YouTube videos.

 Brittany was a 9 year 4-H member competing in the dog project, winning multiple county and state fair placements in obedience, showmanship, agility and service dog events.  Brittany has 4 dogs of her own: 2 Australian Cattle dogs, a Brittany, and a "Chi-Weenie."  She competes in AKC, UKC, and CPE events with her dogs also.  When Brittany isn't working or cuddling with her dogs, she may be found practicing her skills with the East Central Roller Derby girls.

Mary's passion for caring for animals started in junior high school
when she began dog sitting for her uncle's geriatric Labrador Retriever, Spot.
Mary has a rescue cat named Archie. She also lives with her roommate and two dogs, Bailey and Abby, and two cats, Casey and Annie B.

 

 

 

 

 

Sherrie Summitt, Veterinary Assistant

Sherrie has over 11 years of experience in the veterinary field. She is also certified in K9 training and behavior modification techniques.

 

Professional and Personal

Sherrie enjoys volunteering at shelters and rescues. She is passionate about educating the public and helping save animals. Sherrie lives with her 2 year old daughter, Anna, and their three pets: a dog named Darrell, a cat named Alice, and a

Kalyn has worked in the veterinary field since high school. She
has a 1 year old son, Zechariah with her boyfriend Russell. They
also have two dogs, Gizmo and Bizcuit, and one cat, Mr. Gray.

Cassie Garst, Lodge Caregiver

Cassie is finishing her educational carrer with a degree in medical assisting.

She is married and is owned by a Great Dane "Atticus" and a cat named "Eugene".  Cassie says that she enjoys working at Woodland because she gets to spend time with all of the dogs and cats.
