  • Margo Golden, DVM
    Medical Director

    Education: 

    Auburn University in Alabama, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
    Auburn University in Alabama, Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology

    Professional and Personal: 

    Margo Golden was born outside of Chicago. She recently relocated from Suwanee Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Margo and her two sons are settling into Carmel and enjoying the many activities that the area offers.

    While attending Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, she was active in the Southeastern Raptor Rehabilitation Center and rose to Student Medical Director. Additionally, she served as a Student Emergency Resident in the Small Animal Clinic. During her senior year, she followed her interest in Exotic Animal Medicine to the University of Tennessee to participate in an Externship.

    Dr. Golden has worked in private practice for over 20 years and has served as Medical Director for two animal hospitals. She realizes the importance of the human animal bond in not only our pets' health, but the wellbeing of their owners and how we can all mutually benefit. This vision correlates with the One Health Initiative, which recognizes human health, animal health and ecosystem health are all inseparably linked.

    When not in the office, Margo is quite busy with her two boys, two cats and a dog. Her sons are in 9th and 5th grades. Both are active in soccer. She and her high school age son have become immersed in the Carmel High School Marching Band. Go Greyhounds! Like his mother, the 5th grader thrives in running and has participated in Pups Running. Margo has made the commitment to run in the Indy 500 Mini Marathon in the Spring. Emmy Lou, her wire haired pointing griffon is her running partner and her newly adopted German Shorthaired Pointer puppy, Luhtzie, has joined the team. Other than training on the Monon and soccer, her family takes pleasure in hiking and camping.

  • Stacie Haak, DVM
    Associate Veterinarian

    Education:

    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine - Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine

    Professional and Personal

    Stacie Haak is an Indiana native, originally from Evansville, IN, but has been in Indianapolis since 2003. Dr. Haak lives with her husband, 3 beautiful daughters, her cat Reese, and English Mastiff, Yogi. In her free time . . . . Dr. Haak's 3 girls keep her very busy at home! She very much enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with friends and family.

    Dr. Haak is a Fear Free certified professional. She has a special interest in Behavioral Medicine, receiving additional training at the NAVC Institute under Dr. Karen Overall. She is passionate about ensuring that your pet doesn't suffer stress and anxiety in order to receive medical care. The goal she strives for with her clients revolves around the prevention of unwanted behaviors in your puppy, kitten, or rescue pet. Other professional interests are Internal Medicine, client education, and the Human-Animal Bond.

  • Sam Gregory
    Hospital Administrator

    Education:

    Associate of Applied Science - Harrison College, School of Veterinary Technology

    Bachelor of Arts, English - Southern New Hampshire University

    Professional and Personal:

    Sam started with our company in July of 2014 at a sister location in Indy before transferring to Woodland in October of 2018. An avid animal advocate, Sam knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field since she was young. With a great interest in books and administration, she strives to bring education and communication to the front-lines of the hospital.

    When she is not working, Sam enjoys spending time reading books, writing, and spending time with family, friends, and her five fur babies.

  • Ali Smith
    Assistant Hospital Administrator

    Education:

    IUPUI Anthropology

    Professional and Personal:

    Ali has been a part of the Veterinary field since 2002 and joined the Woodland Animal Hospital team in 2015 as part of the hospital's management team.  She has held a variety of roles in hospitals in both Indianapolis and Dallas, TX with a special interest in emergency and critical care. Currently, Ali lives in Westfield with her husband and three kids.

  • Timi Brooks
    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Education:

    Harrison College, School of Veterinary Technology

    Professional and Personal:

    Timi started with us as an Animal Care Specialist three years ago and since has moved her way up to being a star team member in the hospital. She recently passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam and can officially call herself a Registered Veterinary Technician! 

    When she's not providing care to our patients, she can be found hiking with her dogs, doing photography, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Anneliese Hartoonian
    Registered Veterinary Technician

    Education:

    Harrison College, School of Veterinary Technology

    Professional and Personal:

    Anneliese has had a deep love of animals ever since she was young, which brought her to the field of animal medicine. Having joined the Woodland team more than five years ago as a Veterinary Receptionist, she has continued with the hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. She recently passed the VTNE and can officially call herself a Registered Veterinary Technician. When she is not working, Anneliese enjoys relaxing at home with her cats. When not getting kitty snuggles she also enjoys hanging out with family and friends, as well as going shopping.

  • Katie Benell
    Veterinary Assistant

    Harrison College, School of Veterinary Technology

    Professional and Personal:

    Katie has been a member of the Woodland family for the last couple of years as a receptionist, spending as much time as she could in the hospital as an assistant. She recently took on the official position of Veterinary Assistant and continues to do her best. When she's not at Woodland, she enjoys being with friends and family, reading, and binge-watching television shows.

  • Kaylan Dietrick
    Veterinary Assistant

    Education:

    International Business College - Vet Tech Institute

    Professional and Personal:

    Kaylan has been working in the animal care field for more than six years. After joining the Woodland team in April of 2019, she soon became a star team member. When she is not working she enjoys spending time at home with her young son, as well as being outdoors.

  • Cassie Lott
    Lead Veterinary Receptionist

    ducation:

    Ivy Tech Community College, Associate in Medical Assisting

    Professional and Personal:

    Cassie has been a valued team member for nearly seven years, starting as an Animal Care Specialist before moving on to be a devoted Receptionist. Recently she decided to step into the shoes of Lead Receptionist, a position she long deserved! In her time away from work, she enjoys going to festivals, people-watching, and star-gazing.

  • Heather Adams
    Veterinary Receptionist

    Professional and Personal:

    Heather joined our team at Woodland after a long history of animal care. Coming to us from several boarding facilities, Heather fit right in - easily taking on the hat of receptionist. She got he first job working with Animals in 2012 and knew in that moment that she wanted to work with animals forever. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her dogs, working with other dogs as a pet sitter, riding horses, hiking, and going to the canal with her fur babies in tow.

  • Jarod Wilkerson
    Lodge Manager

    Experience: 

    Medical Mutts - Service Dog Training

    Professional and Personal:

    Jarod became a member of the Woodland family in September of 2018, quickly taking on the responsibilities of Lodge Manager with ease. With training skills under his belt, he has been an asset for the hospital in its quest to eventually be Fear Free, keeping our boarding patients comfortable and well cared for. One of Jarod's passions involves shelter work, as he volunteers frequently with the Humane Society of Hamilton County, and animal behavior.

  • Tabitha Runion
    Lead Animal Care Specialist

    Professional and Personal:

    Tabitha joined our Lodge team in February of 2018 and has played a key role in its success ever since. In addition to her work in the Lodge, Tabitha can also be found at the front desk as a receptionist, as well as in the hospital as an assistant. 

    Tabitha shares her home with her two daughters, three dogs and three cats.

  • Kate Campbell
    Animal Care Specialist

    Professional and Personal:

    Kate comes to us with a lot of experience in the rescue and shelter side. Having worked with the Humane Society for Hamilton County, she brings patience and understanding to our boarding patients. In addition to being soft-spoken and kind, Kate is a highly valued member of the team and we are lucky to have her with us.

    When she is not working, Kate likes to spend her time with family and friends, including her beautiful daughter and three dogs.

  • Lyndsey Askren
    Pet Stylist

    Experience:

    Lyndsey has been grooming since 2007 and has been part of the Woodland Animal Hospital family since 2012. She currently holds two grooming certificates and is constantly seeking ways to refine her skills and learn new techniques.

    Professional and Personal:

    When Lyndsey is not making pets look and feel fabulous, she is spending quiet nights at home with her husband, Jeff, and their two young sons, as well as their cat Stewie. She also enjoys playing piano, reading, attending concerts, baking, and spending time with her family.
